I’ve never been a goal-setter. For years, I was embarrassed, even ashamed of that. When people asked my business goals, I always answered “25% growth…in revenue and customers.”

But I didn’t have goals.

Later, I became proud of it. And when people asked, I’d say “I don’t use goals.”

Why?

1) When you set goals, you reach them…but rarely exceed them. Could you have even greater success without goals?

2) If you decide to lose 50 pounds and only lose 46, you technically failed…even though you’re 46 pounds lighter.

Are your goals making you better – or holding you back?
