The 2 most useful concepts for my business were:

– The framework for determining how to add, table or retire projects. It’s easy to make these decisions more complex than they need to be. The book helped me keep it simple, yet effective.

– How to make staffing decisions based on the results of the review. Don’t misinterpret this as “how to fire people” (though that IS covered with clarity and compassion).
